Merry Christmas Eve! What's Happening Next Year in the Daily Bread Blog!

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!  I was reading about the Shepherds watching their fields by night when the angel appeared to them to with Good News of Great Joy!

Take some time today to think and meditate on what they must have been thinking when they went on their journey to discover the Christ-Child in a manger. Think for minute today about the fact that Jesus, who is God, stepped out of heaven and became one of us. Think about when they gazed into the little baby boy's eyes and saw the face of God!  There will be lots going on in the next two days, but set aside time to think about as we say, "The Reason for the Season!"

A heads up as well next year I will be walking with you through the One Year Bible, which has a reading from the Old Testament and New Testament and it gets you through the whole bible in a year. Importantly there are two ways to access this online as well as my blog:

1. For Reading go to:

https://oneyearbibleonline.com/

This gives you lots of resources to access on your computer, tablet or smart phone.

2. Listen on audio

audio.oneyearbibleonline.com

This is excellent as there is a reader (great voice) who always gives brief commentaries about the passages i.e. themes, historical context, which are super helpful especially for the Old Testament passages which can be hard to understand.

I have used this over the past month on my ride in to work, whiich makes it really easy to keep up with the reading.  I love it!

As usual if you would like to get my daily email with the day's blog entry, please email at mfa9864@gmail.com

God bless you at Christmas as we head in 2022! By being in the bible each day, I believe it will transformed and your relationship with Christ will go much deeper!

Pastor Mike
